Sensei Graham is the owner, head instructor, and Branch Kancho of the Westchester Shobokan dojo. Sensei Graham has been training in traditional go ju and kobudo for 30 years and works collaboratively with his wife Debbie Batterman who holds the rank of Go Dan in the Shobukan. In addition to his martial arts experience, Sensei Graham is a NYC public school teacher with over 25 years teaching experience and has earned two master’s degrees in education and school administration. Sensei Graham brings his professional training and experience as an educator to his teaching of the traditional martial arts in order to maximize the mental, physical, and spiritual development of his students. Everyone at the Westchester Shobukan believes that anyone can achieve personal excellence so long as they commit to the process of traditional practice of the Shobukan.
